My mother wrote my twin nieces story and when she told the story on their first birthday, I was deeply moved and listened intently to each word. I was reminded of the true miracle of life and the preciousness of it. What a powerful and holy event when a child is born into this life! I think in our adult consciousness we tend to forget that when the baby enters our world, she is still connected to her heavenly home.

After being engrossed in listening to rainbow bridge stories and being involved in Waldorf Education, I realized that all parents could benefit from viewing their children in this light. Seeing your child in this way can give you the patience you need when dealing with all the challenges of parenting. It can give you strength in dealing with problematic behaviors because it acknowledges that your child chose you as parent. You are together for a particular reason and for particular growth opportunities.
